WOOL BALLCAP HONORING THE 74 REGIMIENTO DE PUEBLA

History: A few years ago while researching Mexican baseball history, we found a trove of vintage photos depicting a forgotten era of Mexican baseball — when teams from civic organizations, government, the military, and early professional leagues flourished around Mexico City. Now, we’re bringing that history back with our Mystery Caps of Mexico collection: rare designs never before available through Ebbets or anywhere else.

The 74th Infantry Regiment was a founding member of the Mexican League. The Puebla-based team ended the 1925 season in a tie with Club Mexico and defeated that team in a best-of-five series to become the first champion of the Mexican Professional Baseball League.

Made from genuine wool broadcloth with our signature green satin underbrim, this hat is inspired by the on-field ballcap worn by the 74 Regimiento in 1925.
