Mystery Caps of Mexico – Electricistas De Necaxa 1935 Wool Ballcap
$68 USD
WOOL BALLCAP HONORING THE 1935 ELECTRICISTAS DE NECAXA
History: A few years ago while researching Mexican baseball history, we found a trove of vintage photos depicting a forgotten era of Mexican baseball — when teams from civic organizations, government, the military, and early professional leagues flourished around Mexico City. Now, we’re bringing that history back with our Mystery Caps of Mexico collection: rare designs never before available through Ebbets or anywhere else.
The Necaxa “Electricians” participated in the Mexican League from 1935 to 1937, playing at Parque Delta in the capital. Future Mexican Hall of Famer Chile Gomez played for Necaxa, and Gomez became the first Latino player for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1935.
Made from genuine wool broadcloth with our signature green satin underbrim, this hat is inspired by the on-field ballcap worn by the 1935 Electricistas de Necaxa.
